Privacy policy
This policy describes the Docktivity website and the current pre-release Docktivity app developed by DOCKTIVITY LLC (“Docktivity,” “we,” or “us”), New York, United States. Contact hello@docktivity.com about this policy or a privacy request. The app is in development. Features may differ by build, device, permissions, and connected provider.
1. Information used by the app
- Connected accounts: account identifiers, email addresses, provider settings, authorization scopes, and credentials or authorization tokens needed to connect to a service you choose.
- Mail and calendar: message headers, senders and recipients, subjects, bodies, labels, dates, and supported attachments; calendar identifiers and event details such as titles, descriptions, dates, participants, and locations, to the extent accessed by the features you use and permissions you grant.
- Content you create or select: notes, reminders, drafts, signatures, profile photos, and files you import, together with preferences needed to display and manage them.
- Support information: your contact details and any text, images, or diagnostics you choose to send us when requesting help.
Content can be stored on your device to display saved information and support local features. Connected services process requests when you authorize synchronization, send mail, or change provider-backed items. Google sign-in takes place with Google; you do not give your Google password to Docktivity.
2. Why information is used
Docktivity uses information to provide the features you request: display and organize your content, connect accounts, synchronize supported records, send messages, manage events, search saved items, and provide support and security. Permissions are not a promise that every provider feature is available. The current Notes and Reminders features are not connections to Google Keep or Google Tasks.
3. Providers, storage, and permissions
Google receives requests for Gmail and Google Calendar functionality. The app stores supported credentials using Apple’s Keychain. Where an app build uses iCloud/CloudKit synchronization or device backups, Apple may store app content under your Apple account and settings. Local storage is not a guarantee that information never leaves the device, and we do not claim end-to-end encryption for every feature.
The website is intended to be hosted by Cloudflare, which processes connection information such as IP addresses, request details, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. This website contains no advertising pixels, embedded analytics scripts, account registration, or tracking cookies set by our site code. Hosting providers may process technical data for their own service and security operations.
Device permissions, such as access to photos, camera, notifications, or speech features, apply only where those features are offered and you authorize them. You can manage these permissions in iOS Settings. Loading remote images in an email or opening its links can disclose connection information to the sender or linked service; consider this before enabling remote content.
4. Optional AI features
AI features are not promised as part of the current public offering. Development builds may contain on-device processing and optional connections to OpenAI or Anthropic. Where a build makes cloud AI available and you choose that provider, the text and related context supplied to the feature may be transmitted directly to that provider for processing. Do not enable a cloud option for content you do not want shared with that provider. Provider availability, consent, and privacy disclosures must be presented before new cloud processing is introduced.
5. Google data and Limited Use
Docktivity’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Workspace API user data policy, including their Limited Use requirements.
Google user data is used for the user-facing features you authorize, not sold, used for advertising, or used to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI models. Transfers are limited to those permitted by these policies, such as providing the feature with appropriate permission, protecting security, or complying with applicable law. Human access to Google user data is limited to the circumstances those policies allow, including your affirmative agreement to review specific content for support, necessary security investigation, or legal requirements.
6. Retention, disconnection, and deletion
Saved app content remains until it is removed through the available app controls, deleted with the app’s device data, or otherwise removed from the relevant storage. Removing the app may not remove Keychain entries, cloud copies, backups, or provider-held originals.
- Stop provider access: use the account connection controls where available and revoke permission in your provider account. For Google, visit Google Account connections. Revocation prevents future authorized access but does not automatically erase cached copies.
- Clear saved app content: the app’s Data Controls can remove saved content separately from account profiles and credentials. The confirmation explains what is removed. Clearing local copies does not send deletion requests to your mail or calendar provider; if iCloud synchronization is active, deletion of app content may propagate to other devices.
- Provider records: deleting a provider-backed item through a supported provider action may also delete or change the original at that provider. Manage originals and their retention with the provider.
- Support records: we retain information you send us for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and meet applicable security or legal obligations. Ask us to delete it when no longer needed. Third-party service logs and backups follow those providers’ retention practices.
Contact us for access, correction, or deletion of information held by DOCKTIVITY LLC. We cannot directly erase information that exists only on your device or in an account controlled by a separate provider, but can explain the available steps. We may retain information where law requires it and explain applicable limits when responding.
7. Security and your choices
We use platform security mechanisms and protected connections where supported, but no storage or transmission is guaranteed completely secure. Protect your device and provider accounts, keep software updated, and avoid sharing passwords or verification codes with support. You may choose not to connect a provider and may withdraw permissions; related features may then stop working.
8. International use and privacy rights
Providers may process information outside your country. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
9. Children
Docktivity is a general-purpose productivity product, not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Changes
We will update this policy as the product and data practices change. Material changes will be communicated through the website or app as appropriate, and additional permission will be requested where required. The date above identifies this version.
